    On June 29th, in a Park Slope brownstone neighborhood, a peer-to-peer energy exchange took place between one prosumer (green power producer) and a consumer (green energy customer), who live across the street from one another. Eric Frumin donated the proceeds he earned from his energy attributes sale to CHiPS, a non-profit Soup Kitchen and Women’s shelter in Park Slope. Through TransActive Grid, folks in the Park Slope and Gowanus communities have the ability to build and establish a network of relationships between people who want to consume green energy, and people who produces an excess of green electricity through their solar panels.
